Phase 1 can develop detailed equipment lists as a means to select equipment that meets the design requirements of the project and comply with all of the process requirements. We use a streamlined method for process engineers to quickly make modifications to the process and have the team informed of the changes affecting the design. We can tie the P&ID, the equipment list and vendor information into one project database which allows the part information (datasheets, vendor information) to be quickly accessed by the team. Most importantly, changes at any stage of the design development, in the P&ID’s, Equipment List or Layout Model get reflected back into the other stages of design. This reduces the potential for errors during the hand-offs between process design, layout and procurement professionals.
